Registration Open for Careers in Student Affairs Conference

The Division of Student Affairs and the Student Affairs Administration in Higher Education Master of Education program are partnering together to host the Careers in Student Affairs conference on September 20, 2019. 

Hosted in the state-of-the-art Leonard J. Kaplan Center for Wellness facility, this half-day conference will bring together undergraduate students, graduate students, faculty, staff, and prospective doctoral students around the importance of a career in Student Affairs.


Conference Schedule:

10:00 – 11:15 a.m. – Registration & Graduate School Expo

11:15 a.m. – 12:15 p.m. – Keynote Address and Lunch

12:30 – 1:20 p.m. – Session #1

1:30 – 2:20 p.m. – Session #2

2:30 – 3:20 p.m. – Session #3

3:30 p.m. – Depart


There will be three program tracks:

  1. Undergraduate Student: This track will be centered on providing an overview to the field and key skills that will be needed for exploration and success in a Student Affairs career.
  2. Graduate Students and Professionals: These three sessions will provide a overview of contemporary issues and creative approaches to address them.
  3.  Prospective Doctoral Students: Specifically designed for those considering a terminal degree, these sessions will create a foundation for professionals to explore applying, balancing life during their program, and the types of positions available after the doctorate.

$10: All undergraduate students

$20: Professionals & graduate students

$50: Graduate programs (includes lunch for one representative)

All UNCG undergraduate students, graduate students, and Division of Student Affairs staff will be covered and will attend free of charge.

Payment via check, cash, or BANFIN (UNC Greensboro departments). Payment will be accepted via mail and on site.
