UNCG is pleased to offer an incentive for every student who completes their COVID-19 vaccination through any approved vaccination site (on-campus or off-campus). Vaccinations protect the health and well-being of every student and our campus community.

Each UNCG student who is enrolled for the Fall 2021 semester and submits proof of completed COVID-19 vaccination by Monday, August 23 will receive $50 in Flex on their Spartan Cards in September. Flex may be used on campus at dining locations including the restaurants and Bestway Grocery at Spartan Village, convenience stores, and vending machines.

Any student enrolled at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro in the fall 2021 semester, who receives a vaccine at any approved location (on or off-campus) and who submits to us proof of their COVID-19 vaccination, is eligible.* *$50 in Flex will be loaded to the student’s account after verifying their enrollment status and completed vaccination after the start of the semester.
Students should submit proof of vaccination here by 5 p.m. on Monday, August 23. Watch the "Upload Instructions" first to properly upload your vaccination card using the "Patient Portal." $50 in Flex will be uploaded to your Spartan Card account after we verify your enrollment status and that your vaccination course is completed. We will notify you by your UNCG email when the money has been added to your account.
The COVID-19 vaccination is free for everyone! For a list of vaccination sites, visit https://covid19.ncdhhs.gov/vaccines. You can also get your COVID-19 vaccine at Student Health Services. Call them at 336.334.5340 to set up your appointment.
Click here for a list of FAQ about the COVID-19 vaccine from Student Health Services.
Both the Moderna and Pfizer vaccines require two doses. The Moderna doses are 28 days apart, and the Pfizer doses are 21 days apart. In order to get your second dose of either vaccine by August 23, you should get your first Moderna dose by July 26 or your first Pfizer dose by August 2. The Johnson & Johnson vaccine requires one dose. Student Health Services only provides the Moderna and Pfizer vaccines.
If you are vaccinated, you should have received an email from HRL. If so, you will be exempted from the initial re-entry testing requirement and periodic testing during the semester. If you are not vaccinated and you are a campus resident, you will be required to get tested for COVID-19 on a periodic basis at a testing clinic on campus, and you will be required to submit results from a COVID-19 test within 7 days prior to fall move-in. For more COVID-19 residence hall information, click here.
The verification of the fully vaccinated documentation will be reviewed by Student Health Services staff trained on COVID-19 protocols and medical confidentiality standards. If it is determined that a student has submitted false information during the verification process, they will be referred to the Office of Student Rights & Responsibilities. Submitting false information is a violation of the Student Code of Conduct, resulting in conduct sanctions up to and including expulsion if found responsible.
