How to Report Sexual Misconduct to the Dean of Students Office

It is important to note that while the University makes every effort to safeguard the identities of students who report sexual misconduct (sexual assault, sexual harassment),  the Dean of Students Office may need to report incidents to an investigating office on campus. The UNCG Police are notified of incidences of sexual violence to assist with the compilation of statistical records for crimes that occur in our community as mandated by the Clery Act. When reporting the incident to UNCG Police, the Dean of Students Office can withhold your name, should you wish the report to be shared anonymously. However, the Dean of Students Office must report the instance of sexual violence, with your name, to the UNCG Title IX Coordinator, per the Education Amendments of 1972 (Title IX). Individuals who seek confidential advice or support can utilize the confidential resources listed below. To report an instance of sexual misconduct anonymously, please feel free to use the Incident Reporting Form.

To report an instance of sexual misconduct you can call the Dean of Students Office at 336-334-5514 to schedule an appointment or speak to someone. You can also utilize drop-in hours Monday-Thursday from 1pm to 4:00pm and Friday 9am-4pm. Or, you can schedule an appointment with us. We are located in EUC Suite 210.
