>> UNCG’S DEDICATED CORONAVIRUS WEBSITE

  • Dedicated website for all University status updates. Information is provided as additional guidance becomes available from the Chancellor’s Office, Provost’s Office, Student Health, UNCG Emergency Management, public health officials, and the UNC System.

>> STUDENT AFFAIRS EVENTS STATUS

  • The Division has canceled all Student Affairs-sponsored events and programming. Any in-person student group – including student groups, organizations, and fraternities and sororities – meeting and/or event is canceled. Student group travel is suspended until further notice. Additional information will be dependent on the operational status of the University.
  • Virtual meetings between student group members are permitted.

  • Please visit HRL’s  COVID-19 website for information about refunds and returning to campus to collect left belongings.

>> STUDENT HEALTH SERVICES HEALTH ALERTS

  • Resources regarding Coronavirus including information about symptoms, contacting the Student Health Center, quarantine FAQs, and taking care of your behavioral health during social isolation/distancing.
  • If you develop symptoms, call Student Health Services (336.334.3148) or your doctor. It is very important that you call before going to their office.
  • Student Health Services is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. They have discontinued their Sunday hours until the University resumes normal business functions.

>> DEAN OF STUDENTS OFFICE

  • The Dean of Students Office can be reached by phone at 336.334.5514, or via email at deanofstudentsoffice@uncg.edu. Please include the following in your message: your name, student ID number, the nature of your concern, and the best time and method to contact you.

>> SPARTAN OPEN PANTRY

  • The Spartan Open Pantry will continue to operate on the same hours of 5 – 9 p.m. on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, with a to-go meal on Wednesdays at 6 p.m. Pantry Neighbors will receive to-go bags of food in the parking lot of the College Place UMC to limit contact.
  • Food resources in Greensboro and High Point, including food assistance, grocery store information, farmers markets, local restaurants with takeout and delivery, and volunteer/donation information can be found here.

>> THE COUNSELING CENTER

  • Beginning March 23, The Counseling Center will be shifting services for UNCG students to remote telemental health. If you are currently scheduled for an appointment, your counselor will reach out to you. If you have any questions, concerns, or are in need of support, please contact The Counseling Center by phone at 336.334.5874. >> OFFICE OF LEADERSHIP & CIVIC ENGAGEMENT

  • Provides FAQs about the Leadership Challenge, Catalyst, LiNC, TedXUNCG, and community service and engagement.
  • The OLCE office will begin working remotely starting Tuesday, March 17. Their operations will move to an online format, and they are monitoring the lead@uncg.edu mailbox regularly.

>> RECREATION & WELLNESS

  • The Kaplan Center will temporarily close as of Saturday, March 14 until further notice. As of March 14, all Recreation & Wellness-sponsored events and all reservations in the Kaplan Center will be canceled through March 30. Future updates will be posted as more information becomes available.
  • Recreation & Wellness has put together a list of free fitness resources to help you stay active and keep moving while the Kaplan Center is closed.

>> MILITARY-AFFILIATED SERVICES

  • Beginning Tuesday, March 17, the Military-Affiliated Services office will begin working remotely. If you have questions or need assistance, contact the MAS staff at 336.334.5632 or military@uncg.edu.

>> CAMPUS ACTIVITIES & PROGRAMS

  • Provides answers to questions about student groups and events.
  • The CAP office will begin working remotely starting Tuesday, March 17. The staff will monitor the capso@uncg.edu mailbox regularly.

>> ELLIOTT UNIVERSITY CENTER

  • The Elliott University center will close at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, March 17 and remain closed until further notice. Please visit euc.uncg.edu for an up-to-date listing of operating hours.
  • The food outlets in the EUC, including the B&N Cafe, are closed until further notice. Please visit dineoncampus.com/uncg for dining operating hours.
  • The UNCG Bookstore is closed until further notice. Please visit bookstore.uncg.edu for updated operating hours.
  • All reservations for the EUC, outdoor spaces, and academic buildings made by the University Reservations office are cancelled until further notice.
  • The reservations book for student groups will open at 10 a.m. on Monday, April 6. The reservations book for departments will open at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, April 15. Please visit reservations.uncg.edu for additional information.

>> OFFICE OF INTERCULTURAL ENGAGEMENT

  • Provides updates to several events such as the Powwow, Intercultural Lecture Series, Tunnel of Oppression, LiNC Conference, Safe Zone and TransZone workshops, Intercultural Leadership Council, CommUnity Dialogues, Spartans in Dialogue, and Pride Month.
  • The OIE office will begin operating remotely on Tuesday, March 17. Staff is forwarding the campus phone lines to their cell phones or checking voicemail regularly and remain fully accessible by email.
  • OIE has moved a variety of opportunities to engage with Pride Month programming online! Often Pride Month programs serve as extra credit or credit-bearing opportunities for many courses, and in that respect, almost all of the virtual programming has an associated assignment and/or reflection activity. The Queer Film series has also been moved online, with eight films that students, faculty, and staff can view for free over the coming weeks.
  • You can keep up to date with additional programming that OIE intends to move to a virtual format in the next few weeks by visiting their website and following @uncg_oie on Instagram and Twitter, and UNCG Office of Intercultural Engagement on Facebook.

>> OFFICE OF ACCESSIBILITY RESOURCES & SERVICES

  • Students approved for accommodations through OARS will continue to receive their accommodations. At times, however, specific accommodations may not transition equitably to an online format. Contact OARS at 336.334.5440 or oars@uncg.edu if you have any questions related to a specific accommodation.
  • Accommodations arranged for in-person courses may not be applicable or compatible with instruction occurring in an online environment. Students having difficulty accessing course content due to the change in format should contact oars@uncg.edu for additional support and/or request additional accommodations.
  • We understand that some students with disabilities may have elected to not register their disability previously with OARS, and may wish to do so at this time. To begin, please register here.

>> CAREER & PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT

  • I9s processing for new student employees is currently on hold. Please check back here or cpd.uncg.edu for updates.
  • Career coaching appointments can be scheduled through Handshake can be conducted via phone or video conference.
  • Career & Professional Development will not be holding drop-in hours. Questions regarding student employment can be sent to seo@uncg.edu. Other student questions can be sent to careers@uncg.edu, and employers can contact recruit@uncg.edu.
