A Message From the 95th SGA Administration

This year has been an incredible experience full of growth, adventures, and memories. We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to students, faculty, staff, and administration for making this year a success, and providing the opportunity for us to serve the student body. We value all the relationships we have built this year, and hope to continue building upon these relationships.

We have had the privilege to listen to your concerns, and turn those concerns into actions. We advocated for Inclusion, Accessibility, and for the overall safety of our Spartans. We educated students about Financial Aid, Safezone Training, the UNCG Police, Title IX Policy, and Free Speech at UNCG. We sat on several committees as such the Sustainability Council, UNCG Branding Committee, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Committee, and more.

Here are some of the initiatives that we had pertaining to those concerns:

  • Promoted student engagement through the UNITY initiative & the Diversity Expo
  • Continued traditions such as the READ posters
  • Sponsored Late Night Writing Center operations
  • Advocated for wellness through Sexual Assault Response Week and supporting the Collegiate Council for Opioid Misuse
  • Held SGA Week in April which included the Great T-Shirt Exchange
  • Collaborated with campus organizations to hold Sustainability Week which included Project Clean Place
  • ┬áParticipated in campus safety programming which included the Campus Safety Walk w/ UNCG Police and the Alcohol Fun Free Fest

Throughout the year, we have seen so many passionate, enthusiastic, and hardworking students who genuinely care about making positive change at our university. We encourage you to work together and continue striving towards your goals here at UNC Greensboro.

We hope your Summer is safe and, of course, FUN!
